Caleb Nally with Chi Alpha at Indiana University
Caleb and Brooke Nally are serving as missionaries to Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a ministry called Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. Chi Alpha seeks to be Christ’s ambassadors to the campus, reconciling students to Christ to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world.
As missionaries to college students, Caleb and Brooke spend time discipling students one-on-one, leading small group Bible studies and cultivating missional communities of believers to reach the campus.
WHAT IS CHI ALPHA:
Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship at Indiana University is a group of college students dedicated to serving Jesus, discipling one another, and making lifelong friendships. In Chi Alpha, all we do is guided by our three anchors: real devotion, real community, and real responsibility.
WHAT DOES CHI ALPHA STAND FOR:
Even though our name is Greek, we are not a fraternity or sorority. We believe that God longs to have each and every person reconciled to Himself, and that the way that reconnection happens is through the representation of his people. Each of us who takes on the identity of “Christian” becomes Christ’s ambassador – or christou apostoloi in Greek, which we shorten to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha” or XA. Our name is our constant reminder that each of us has a real part to play in this world. We each can carry Him within us to bring Him closer to the people around us.
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."- 2 Corinthians 5:20
REAL DEVOTION:
Our desire is that every student would have a vibrant, personal relationship with God. We believe that a real devotional life is necessary to maintain a solid relationship with God. Through spending time in the Word, and communicating with God frequently, fervently, and with great faith, we can experience God and live the life we are called to live.

REAL COMMUNITY:
We are made for community! We believe that the greatest transformation occurs when we are living in real community with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. That is why we consider the most important part of Chi Alpha to be our Core Groups.
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25
REAL RESPONSIBILITY:
We believe that every Christian has an outward responsibility and should play a role in global missions, relational evangelism, and justice. In Chi Alpha, we provide students with opportunities to serve on all levels.
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”" - Matthew 28:18-20
